Join Zonta Club of Essex County for a virtual Paint 'n Sip.
Friday, March 3, 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Show off your painting prowess. Let your creativity run wild without anyone making comments! Our Paint 'n Sips receive high marks for fun and satisfaction: "It was fun! Good to see everyone." "Awesome." "I've never seen such an online crowd so absorbed in what they were doing!"
We will be awarding several scholarships this year to high school seniors of New Jersey's Essex and Union Counties who have been accepted to college. Your ticket purchase will help raise money to fund the scholarships.
We'll provide a canvas designed by Celeste Banks of The Painter's Palette, the paint and a brush. Just add water. Maybe an apron and a beret?
February 15 deadline for registration. This allows for pickup in West Orange or mailing of materials.
If you can't attend please consider donating to our scholarship fund on the tickets page.

On January 29 at 2 pm, Zonta Club of Essex and Zonta Club of Morristown Area will host a free virtual celebration “Women Have Wings” in honor of Amelia Earhart.
Earhart, the famed aviatrix, was an early supporter and member of Zonta International, and the organization has a long-standing tradition of honoring her. January is Amelia Earhart Month, and Zonta International and its clubs celebrate her life and legacy and raise funds for the Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship, awarded to women in aviation and aeronautics. The fellowship has supported more than 1,600 women from 75 countries in reaching their educational and professional goals in the aerospace and space sciences fields. Established in 1938 after the famous pilot’s death, the Amelia Earhart Fellowship program is Zonta’s longest running service project.
Thank you to Mayor Ras J Baraka who pledged to illuminate the City of Newark, NJ- City Hall in Orange as a part of the United Nations SayNO-UNITE to End Violence Against Women campaign theme "Orange the World." Mayor Baraka's pledge and Governor Murphy's Proclamation honoring November 25th as New Jersey Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women 2021 were made in response to inquiry from Zonta Club of Essex County in the name of all women and women's groups in Newark and New Jersey, and many local, statewide, and global organizations and communities will commemorate November 25th-November 28th by recommitting to end violence against women.
Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programs will be the priority theme of the Sixty-Sixth Session of the U.N Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) (CSW66) in March 2022. In keeping with this, Zonta Club of Essex County and Zonta Club of Morris will cohost an online screening of the film "HANDS ON: Women, Climate and Change."
Having a big sale, on-site celebrity, or other event? Be sure to announce it so everybody knows and gets excited about it.
